Elon Musk encountered the biggest personal fortune loss of $182 billion, making a world record
Elon Musk made a world record since his net worth dropped to $182 billion. Founder of SpaceX and the owner of Twitter has surpassed the previous record of Masayoshi Son, a Japanese investor whose net worth dropped by $58.6 billion more than two decades ago.
This loss of Elon Musk is considered an enormous personal fortune loss in world history.
Based on Forbes’s estimation, Elon Musk’s loss count rapidly increased from the end of 2021. Though Forbes claims the loss count is nearly $182 billion, according to other sources, the count may exceed $200 billion.
Elon Musk’s value of financial and non-financial assets was hurled headlong within a year. According to a Forbes report, his net worth was $320 billion in 2021, which dropped down to $138 billion in the first month of 2023.
The woe that has crippled the financial condition is believed to have occurred primarily due to Tesla stock swerves that have lost 65% of their value during the year.
Though the net worth drop is subtle in contrast to the loss Elon Musk has faced, there are two other business magnates that are found to break the record of Japanese investor Masayoshi Son. The founder of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, faced a loss of $80 billion whereas Mark Zuckerberg, CEO, and founder of Facebook, encountered a loss of $78 billion in 2022.
